Silence greets the night

the world holds its breath

for He is coming

The angels wait, watching

ready to burst forth in praise

He is coming

in a stable a child is born

wrapped in swaddling cloths

and placed in a manger

a small cry and then quiet

as the animals look to the sound

in the heaven's a star shines brightly

shepherds gathered round a fire are surprised

when above them a host of angels appeared

singing praises

He is here

as they rush to see

wise men traveling are searching

they wish to see

as the angels watch

He is here

a baby born in Bethlehem

King of Kings, born a child

raised a carpenter's son

Son of God, Son of Man

born in a stable

humble of birth

born to endure

born to understand

what we endure

as the angles watch
