Worries come

You are here to take them

calm the heart

give rest to the weary spirit

struggling in this life

just to get by

You hear

the cries of Your children

in their suffering

in their pain

You hear

waiting, for them to turn

waiting for them

to come to You

reach out to You

seek You

in all things

You wait

for You have said,

it must be their choice

You have given them

that freedom

worries come

as the storms draw near

the cold winds blow

making the weary even more so

as they struggle

a tear slips from Your eye

as You watch

reaching out to the weary

the worried and the fearful

yet waiting, still waiting

for them to turn to You
