when I feel

When I feel, as if I have failed

stumbled in my attempts

when I start to turn away in my shame

You are here

I feel Your presence so very close

Encircled in Your love

clothed in Your peace

Your voice speaks in my heart

reminding me, whispering to me

there is no shame, in the failing

the same, is in not getting up

not turning away from the wrongs

tears fall freely

as from my knees I seek forgiveness

learning anew

how close You are, always are

You are my strength and my light

I seek You, in all things

when I feel this cross I bear

grow heavy, I call out to You

my strength, comes from You

when I grow weary,

You are my rest

close, You are always close

drying my tears, when I have stumbled

when I feel I have failed

You lift me from where I have fallen

wrap me in love

reminding me

how close You are, always

how readily You forgive, always

especially, when I feel I have failed
