Blessed am I

for You are with me

holding me in Your love

I am not afraid

no harm can befall me

for even in death, I live

for I live with You

when this body closes its eyes

for the last time here

when that last breath is taken

I will awaken with You

Heaven's gates opened

as I stroll the golden roads

angels singing praises to God most Holy

I see You waiting

walking with me

Life eternal with You

easier, so much easier than the worldly

earthly life

blessed am I

that I know You

for You are with me

guiding my steps

a light to my feet

I walk with You

sharing what I know of You

love and peace, patience and forgiveness

I do, what it is You have asked

and I look forward to the day

when I will be fully with You

never to be parted-

no more fear

no more illness
