that others may know

 

 

Teach me Lord, how to speak

give me, the words to say

place in my heart, Your wisdom

to share with those, who do not understand

they see those that are bad witness

speaking twisted words

changing them to fit their needs

they read Your word, yet do not understand

what they seek to interpret on their own

without understanding of the times

even as it was put to paper so long ago

Your word still lives today, vital today

but one must understand

There are those, who do not understand

because they do not like what they read

do not comprehend, what is behind the words

help me, when I meet such as this

I know what to say, how to share

Your love so boldly written in the pages

teach me Lord, I listen for Your voice

speaking in my heart

reaching out, to those that need You

be they lost, alone, afraid

teach me Lord, how to reach out

to those that hunger for You

seeking the answers that come only from You

teach me Lord, use me

as I praise You Lord

as I thank You,

teach me Lord, that others may know.
