You stand listening

 

We need not go this alone

You stand at the gate, ready

waiting

You hear the cries

You see the suffering

You walked this place

You understand

You knock at the door

call out the names

of those who cry

watching, You are always watching

those that stumble about

tripped up on roots of temptation

falling along the side

crying in their suffering

moaning, in their anguish

but they turn not

a tear escapes Your eye

as You watch

calling the names

of those with hardened hearts

seeking those lost

sending to them Your children

offering the directions

to You

as You stand listening

to their cries

seeing

their suffering

calling their name

wishing, to draw them to You
